Gopuff delivers to customers across the country: alcohol, household goods, medicine, and more, arriving at their front doors within minutes. At the moment of delivery, the customer has to trust whoever is standing on their doorstep.
Jad Allen, Gopuff's Compliance Program Manager, thinks about that trust every day.

Making that program work at scale is the hard part. Gopuff processes tens of thousands of delivery partner applications every month. Guarding against fraud is a constant: people creating accounts under different names after being terminated, misrepresenting their age to get past the system, manufacturing identities to sell access to others.

What Gopuff and Yardstik built together was a layered risk program that covers the full delivery partner lifecycle.
The first layer is at the front of the funnel. Yardstik's Detect AI flags previously terminated applicants who are trying to reapply under a new name or email.
Yardstik blocks hundreds of those attempts every month: duplicate SSNs, blocklisted applicants, and underage signups flagged and canceled before a check runs.
The second layer is post-hire. Gopuff continuously monitors the criminal records of its entire active delivery partner population, a program that scales automatically with their roster. When a delivery partner becomes active, they're enrolled. When they go inactive, they're removed. No monthly manual exports. When something surfaces, it goes directly to adjudication.
