Minneapolis, MN, May 16, 2024—Yardstik, a measurably better background screening company, is excited to announce the addition of two seasoned professionals to its executive team as it continues its impressive growth trajectory: Jessica Robinson as Chief Financial Officer and Ann Vanga as General Counsel and Head of Compliance.
Yardstik has big growth goals and continues to meet the milestones it has set for itself. In addition to the January hire of a new chief technology officer, Josh Cutler, these additional executive roles are a critical part of Yardstik’s investment in people.
Yardstik CEO, Matt Meents, knew Ann and Jessica were the right additions, stating, “We’re on a mission to reduce people-related risk. And we’re doing it differently than everyone else. So, we want leaders that can think big, take action, and champion creative strategies that innovate. Ann and Jessica were no-brainer hires for us who were equally as excited to join the Yardstik family. We know their accomplished backgrounds and expertise will be an asset as we continue to disrupt the background screening industry.”
Jessica Robinson, Yardstik’s new CFO, brings a wealth of experience in corporate financial strategy and leadership. Previously, Jessica served as CFO at The Stable, where she drove rapid growth through transformative initiatives, including successful acquisitions and expansions, culminating in a sale to Accenture in 2022. Jessica has also held roles at SPS Commerce, Althea Technologies, and Arthur Andersen.
“It feels awesome to be joining Yardstik’s exceptional team,” says Jessica Robinson. “They are fiercely committed to their growth plans and have established a position as innovators in the industry. Who wouldn’t want to be a part of that? I’m eager to jump in and leverage my experience in scaling companies to continue Yardstik’s momentum.”
Ann Vanga, Yardstik’s new general counsel and head of compliance, brings over 15 years of legal expertise, primarily supporting B2B SaaS companies. Her career spans private practice and in-house roles across various industries such as energy technology, equipment/systems manufacturing, and fintech. Ann’s most recent position was as the vice president of legal at Solifi, where she oversaw the global legal function and led an international team dedicated to supporting the company’s legal and compliance needs.
Ann also shared her excitement for joining Yardstik, stating, “Yardstik’s dedication to delivering an exceptional customer experience is rare and setting an incredibly high bar for the industry. It’s thrilling to be a part of a talented team so focused on their mission that also never lets go of how and why they were built.”
Yardstik grew its customer base by 300% in 2023 and ended last year with an additional $12M in funding, led by partners MissionOG, Grotech Ventures, Rally Ventures, and Crosslink Capital. They’re on track to continue this growth momentum in 2024. The Yardstik team is hyper-focused on their mission and with Jessica and Ann on board, Yardstik is poised for continued growth and innovation.
